The genre of this song is indie pop. When I think of indie videos a band playing instruments always comes to mine. This video highlights the band and their instruments conforming to this characteristic. Another characteristic is the way that they present themselves, I expect indie bands to be wearing skinny jeans and just a plain top, and this is exactly what is presented in most of The Kooks video.
